Common questions about cost

How much does it cost to get your colours analyzed?

In Metro Vancouver, colour analysis generally runs between $100 and $400 depending on how thorough the session is. At Persona in Palette, a virtual analysis is $127, the in-person Palette Results session is $227, and the Extended Results session is $287. Every session includes a 42-page personalized PDF guide, and GST is already included in the price.

Is paying for colour analysis worth it?

It depends on how much you currently spend on clothes and makeup that you don't end up wearing. Most people have items in their wardrobe they bought and never reached for again, and colour is often the reason. A one-time analysis narrows every future purchase, which is where the money comes back. If you rarely shop or already know what suits you, it will matter less.

Why do prices vary so much between analysts?

Mostly the depth of the process and what you take home. A shorter, cheaper session might place you in a broad family like 'autumn' from a handful of drapes. A full 16-season analysis drapes you against your bare face, compares your best white against your best red, and narrows to one specific season. Ask what you leave with, too — a written guide you can use while shopping is the part that lasts.

Can ChatGPT or an app do my colour analysis?

Not reliably. Any analysis from a photo inherits the lighting, white balance and filtering of that photo, and those are exactly the variables a proper analysis controls for. Draping works because your face is compared against known fabrics under consistent light, with your hair covered if it's dyed. An app can be a fun starting point, but it isn't the same process.

Where can I go for colour analysis near me?

The studio is at 301-220 Brew Street in Port Moody, BC, on the SkyTrain Millennium Line and easy to reach from Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam and the Tri-Cities. Closet edits are done in your own home, with a travel range from West Vancouver in the west to Mission in the east and South Surrey in the south.

Are there extra costs on the day?

GST is included in the service price, so the only thing you may pay for is parking beyond the first hour, which is $3.50. The 36-swatch fabric wallet is an optional add-on at $112 and is never required.
